Business Improvement Techniques (BIT)

The Business Improvement Techniques programme was developed by the National Skills Academy for Manufacturing in Northern Ireland to enable employees to gain recognition for demonstrating the competence to deliver quality, cost and delivery improvements in the workplace, resulting in employers reducing costs and increasing productivity.

The modules covered are relevant to all types of businesses, and include:

  • Effective team working

  • Continuous improvement techniques

  • Workplace organisation

  • Problem-solving techniques

Employees are encouraged to appreciate the concept and implications of continuous improvement and how to apply the techniques in the workplace.
