Westminster Budget provides certainty for FE Sector

Colleges Northern Ireland (CNI) welcomes the removal of funding uncertainty for the current financial year with the setting of a budget for Northern Ireland at Westminster yesterday. It is vital now that we see a move forward towards a political agreement that does not impact on ensuring clear funding streams are available and budget set for future years.

FE success at Women in Business Awards 2017

The Women in Business Awards celebrate, reward and acknowledge the hard work and achievements of some of the most successful, entrepreneurial and inspiring business women throughout Northern Ireland. Now in their 7th year, the Women in Business Awards allow all sectors and industries to come together for an evening of celebration to recognise the best of home grown talent and the valuable contribution that women make to the economic life of Northern Ireland. This year’s Awards were held on 9 November and a Principal from a FE College took the top prize.

GCSE Grading - your views?

There are changes happening to GCSE Grading in Northern Ireland. These changes mean that GCSE results issued to learners in Northern Ireland will be graded using letters (A* - G) and numbers (9 - 1). CCEA have designed a questionnaire which aims to ascertain the level of understanding of the changes to GCSE grading and what further information is required.
