NI Finalists announced for British Education Awards Posted on 17/01/2018 00:00:00 Four Students from Northern Ireland have been announced as finalists for the British Education Awards 2018.

These awards were established to celebrate the academic achievements of students across the UK and Northern Ireland at GCSE and A-Level (or Scottish equivalents), and at Vocational and Degree level, as well as to recognise and highlight students’ outstanding extracurricular accomplishments.

Each institution was eligible to nominate one student who has excelled academically; in addition, they must show excellence in a non-academic area, for example, sport, the arts, enterprise, volunteering etc.

In order to be nominated the student must have completed a vocational qualification to BTEC or NVQ Level 3 (the A-Level equivalent) or higher and received their results in the 2016-2017 academic year.

The Finalists from Northern Ireland are as follows; 

Southern Regional College
Connor Cunningham and Kevin Lennon

Belfast Met  Lucy Drummond 

Northern Regional College Ryan McAuley 

The finalists and their guests will now attend the gala black-tie awards ceremony on 
Wednesday 31st January 2018, at Hilton Manchester Deansgate.
