Aged 23 and over - applying to University - read about the Uversity Scholarship Posted on 08/01/2018 00:00:00 The Uversity Adult Learners’ Scholarship Programme was launched in 2018. It is open to students - aged 23 and over wishing to attend University to undertake a Degree for the first time.

About the Higher Education Scholarships for Adult Learners

Uversity is accepting applications for its new Scholarship that is intended to remove financial barriers to enable adult learners to unlock their potential and realise their academic ambitions.  The scholarship provides full financial support, if required, for the entire period of recipients’ study. Recipients will provide meaningful, multi-annual financial support for recipients to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree for the first time in participating third level institutions in NI or the Republic of Ireland.  Scholarships can be in any subject area and will be tailored to recipients’ financial circumstances to cover some or all of the direct and indirect costs associated with higher education.

Scholarship amounts will vary depending on recipients’ circumstances and will be allocated on a needs basis which will be assed via application and interview. Payments will be made on a phased basis over the course of the degree programme and subject to continued academic registration and progress.

Preference will be given to candidates enrolling for a full-time Degree course that can normally be completed in a maximum of four years in any subject in one of the participating institutions.  For a list of participating institutions: Click Here
Please note that students intending to complete a Degree at an FE College are not eligible to apply. However, students completing a Foundation Degree at a FE College and then progressing to university to complete their Degree, can apply for those ‘top up’ years at university.
