Westminster Budget provides certainty for FE Sector Posted on 14/11/2017 00:00:00 Colleges Northern Ireland (CNI) welcomes the removal of funding uncertainty for the current financial year with the setting of a budget for Northern Ireland at Westminster yesterday. It is vital now that we see a move forward towards a political agreement that does not impact on ensuring clear funding streams are available and budget set for future years. While there are clear financial pressures the Further Education (FE) sector continues to add value to the NI economy, supporting redress of educational underachievement, skills for inward investment, business engagement and supporting product and process innovation.

Colleges Northern Ireland believes that developing further collaboration and fostering partnerships, while not removing all financial pressures, will add value and support, ensuring the best learner and economic outcomes for all in our society.
