Then read on!
With its inaugural year in 2010/11, the BEST Awards were designed to support and showcase the creativity and innovation across Northern Ireland's colleges with a particular focus on the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). But STEM within colleges is extremely diverse and embraces many curricular areas outside of the generally recognised subjects such as Applied Sciences and Engineering. Creative Industries was a well supported area in the inaugural year of the Awards and there are many opportunities to broaden the net for 2011/12. For example, fashion uses digital design and requires a knowledge of materials; music technology relies on digital processing and programming; so why not projects in these areas and many others.
If you have an idea for a project or wish to enter work that you are doing (or have completed) as part of your course, speak to your course tutor or see the brochure below (hard copies of the brochure and poster are also available).
